Life at Auldern

Sisterhood at Auldern

Certainly, we aim to keep your daughter engaged and busy. Our academic schedule alone could do that to a certain extent. But that’s NOT our intent. There are many ways to keep “busy” at Auldern.

But one can feel rewarded only through special connections – and Auldern gives your daughter plenty of those in the form of new-found sisters!

If your daughter is interested in art or running, knitting or tennis, she can find it at Auldern. And if she has a passion that isn’t on campus when she arrives, our supportive staff will help her get organized to create a new “club” to share with others.

Because it is the sharing that is what our students say they love most about Auldern. The bonds they create with one another are formed as they share various experiences, adventures, tears and laughter. They come to understand that true support isn’t always agreeing with or giving in to another’s desires; it’s truly “having someone’s back,” watching over those you care for so they do what is best for themselves.

Integrating Family

We encourage parents and family to visit campus, working with your daughter’s therapist to determine when a visit is appropriate.

We understand that the family relationship has often suffered and requires rebuilding and strengthening. Our students want to earn trust with their loved ones and we want to help both our girls and their parents gain the skills to make this happen.
