Gail Gustafson, LCSW

Director of Counseling Services

 

Gail has a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California as well as a Master of Fine Arts in theatre from Brooklyn College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker both in North Carolina and in California, where she worked for 6 years prior to coming to Auldern to accept a position first as a Clinician and then as the Lead Clinician. She was promoted to her current position as Director of Counseling Services in the fall of 2011 where she leads the department in creating and improving the outstanding therapeutic offerings.

 

Gail has extensive experience working with adolescents in a variety of different settings, including group homes, community mental health organizations, and in the foster care system. Gail believes in the power of trusting, honest therapeutic relationships as the medium for healing.

Gail enjoys integrating her love of the arts, particularly theatre, into her therapeutic work using creative expression as an avenue toward personal growth. Gail’s time away from Auldern is focused on her greatest joy, her two young sons.
