World History
This global studies survey course covers prehistoric through modern times. In telling the history of our world, this course focuses on significant and recurring themes including power and authority, religious and ethical systems, revolution, interaction with the environment, economics, cultural interaction, empire building, and science and technology. These themes are presented to show that from America to Africa, to Asia, people are more alike than they realize.

World Geography
World Geography is a course that will teach students not only the physical geography of a nation but also how this impacts culture. This course will focus on understanding places, what they are like and how they got that way, and how they are interrelated. It follows the five themes of geography: location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and region. This course invites students to explore geography as a subject and to use geography to deepen and enrich their understanding of the world and its people and places.

US History
US History is a survey course of American history. It covers this history using nine major themes that link all Americans together:  diversity and national identity, America in world affairs, economic opportunities, science and technology, women and political power, immigration and migration, states rights, voting rights, and civil rights. This course teaches students that the genius of America is in its capacity to forge a single nation from peoples of remarkably diverse racial, religious, and ethnic origins.

American Government
This course teaches students that America’s success as a democracy depends not only on understanding government but also participating in it. Students learn about foundations of American government, the US Constitution, federalism, separation of powers, checks and balances, the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, political parties, elections and voting, interest groups, social and domestic policy, foreign policy and defense, as well as the structure and function of state and local government.

Economics
This course is developed around the National Content Standards in Economics, wherein students learn the definition of economics, different economic systems, their role as a consumer, debt and how to avoid it, saving and investing, demand and supply, business organization, competition and monopolies, financing and producing goods, marketing and distribution, money and banking, and finally the converging global economic systems. This course not only teaches concepts but illustrates how to become more informed and ethical consumers.
